Amid a race toward specialization in data privacy legal services, the co-leader of Manatt Phelps & Phillips’ data privacy and security practice started on Tuesday at Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, following two of his colleagues who joined from Manatt in April.

Scott Lashway, who had founded Manatt’s Boston office in 2019, now serves as co-chair of Mintz’s data privacy and cybersecurity practice, the firm announced Wednesday. Lashway’s move was preceded by the arrival of data privacy member Chris Lisy and data disputes special counsel Matt Stein last month
