Stuart Frankel

Stuart Frankel is a global business leader, strategic advisor and board member who has been focused on early and growth stage technology companies for over twenty years. Stuart is the former CEO and co-founder of Narrative Science, a generative AI company acquired by Salesforce in 2021. Prior to Narrative Science, Stuart was a member of the senior leadership team at DoubleClick, an advertising technology company acquired by Google. While serving on DoubleClick's leadership team, Stuart was also the CEO of Performics, a technology-enabled marketing services company acquired by DoubleClick. Prior to joining DoubleClick through the acquisition of Performics, Stuart was the CFO and COO of Performics. Stuart's operational experience also includes serving as the CFO of Rollingstone.com and leading the real estate development operations of a publicly-traded homebuilder. Earlier in his career, Stuart was both a practicing CPA and an attorney. He is a graduate of Miami University and earned his J.D. at Vanderbilt.

Michael Parks

Michael counsels clients on patent and trademark issues and represents them in federal courts across the United States.
He has significant experience litigating patents in a wide variety of technical disciplines, and has successfully handled matters related to the litigation of complex electrical engineering and software based technologies such as mobile computing, cellular communications, global positioning, and interactive television applications.
He has litigated patents in numerous federal courts, including the Eastern District of Texas, District of Delaware and Northern District of Illinois.
Michael also has significant experience with patent reexaminations and with counseling clients on proposed technologies. On the trademark side, Michael's experience includes trademark clearance, as well as representing clients in trademark litigation and in adversarial proceedings within the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Michael also has significant copyright and right of publicity experience, both on the litigation and counseling side.

John Albright

John Albright, HUB International Limited’s Chief Legal Officer, joined the Executive Management Team in May 2014. Albright is a seasoned, business-focused executive with 20 years of legal and commercial management experience in public, private and private equity-owned company and large law firm settings. While serving as the general counsel for several multinational corporations in complex and vastly different market segments, Albright amassed a record of building and leading highly efficient legal departments that effectively supported the achievement of commercial objectives.
Prior to accepting his current role of CLO at HUB International, Albright served as Senior Vice President, Global Legal and Compliance for Information Resources, Inc., a billion dollar data, technology and market research company with operations in 14 countries. Albright also worked as General Counsel for Accenture HR Services, Inc., an HR outsourcing joint venture that was ultimately acquired by Accenture during his tenure, and as both Division Counsel and Intellectual Property Counsel for Network Solutions, Inc., a large internet products and services company. In this latter role, Albright supported the $21 billion sale of Network Solutions (then a public company) to Verisign, Inc.
Albright began his legal career as an intellectual property and technology attorney with both Alston & Bird and Finnegan Henderson, focusing on complex litigation before state and Federal courts and the United States International Trade Commission.
Albright earned a BME in Mechanical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology, before pursuing his JD at Vanderbilt University Law School. He lives in the Northern suburbs of Chicago with his wife and two young children.

Trisha Cole

Trisha is currently the Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel for Medtelligent Incorporated. Medtelligent is a healthcare technology company that builds the industry leading operational software for assisted living communities "ALIS" (pronounced ""Alice""). Trisha oversees Medtelligent's day-to-day operations and is responsible for leading and supporting Medtelligent's executive team. Trisha specializes in leadership and management training, recruiting processes, and scaling strategies. In her role as General Counsel, Trisha advises the board of directors and executive team on business development strategies, risk management, intellectual property protection, employment and policy matters, and regulatory compliance including HIPAA and HITECH compliance.
Before moving in-house, Trisha was a senior litigation associate at the Chicago area technology focused law firm Synergy Law Group LLC. At Synergy, Trisha practiced complex commercial litigation and concentrated on general business litigation, intellectual property, and employment disputes for entities ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies.
Trisha received her J.D. at Chicago-Kent College of Law (2006) and was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society. She is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and is admitted to practice in the State of Illinois and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in its General and Trial Bars.
